What to expect
Healesville Sanctuary Melbourne is an excellent place to view Australian wildlife in their native habitat. The sanctuary is located in a stunning bushland environment, with over 200 species to discover. Highlights include the many Animal Close-ups and Meet the Keeper opportunities throughout the day.
Things to look out for
Don't miss the intriguing world of the platypus and the amazing birds of prey show daily at 12 noon and 2.30pm. Check out the Healesville Sanctuary website for all the exact timings and plan your day accordingly.
Included in your ticket, you can also visit the Australian Wildlife Health Centre. This is a working veterinary hospital which treats 2000 orphaned, ill or injured wildlife every year.

You can get to Healesville Sanctuary via car, train or bus. If travelling via train, head to Lilydale from the city centre, and then move onto the Lilydale line.
If travelling via bus, catch the 685 to Healesville, then the 686 to Healesville Sanctuary. Please refer to timetables for exact timings.
